Global Policy Forum organized the conference in New York City with the Geneva-based International NGO Network on Global Governance. Over eighty people attended, including many NGO leaders. During the conference, speakers responded to questions from the audience, creating a very lively dialogue, as shown in the photo to the left, where New Zealand's Permanent Representative Colin Keating addresses a question as Malaysian Permanent Representative Razali Ismail, International Women's Tribune Center's Executive Director Anne Walker, and others listen attentively.
