States and TNCs Compared
The 25 largest non-financial corporations worldwide compared with the largest nation-states,
ranked on a basis of annual revenues.
Note that the state data is for national-level government revenues, not GNP.
Only 13 nation-states have large enough national budgets to rank them among these top 25 corporations. Financial institutions are not included, because of comparability problems. But if they could be included, the imbalance would be even more striking.
