Global Policy Forum organized this conference in New York City on May 23, 1994 with the Geneva-based International NGO Network on Global Governance. Over eighty people attended, including many NGO leaders. This page posts links to texts of the major speeches as well as photos of the speakers. During the conference, speakers responded to questions from the audience, creating a very lively dialogue, as shown in the photo above, where New Zealand's Permanent Representative Colin Keating addresses a question as Malaysian Permanent Representative Razali Ismail, International Women's Tribune Center's Executive Director Anne Walker, and others listen attentively.
