Verena Winkler

Former Programme Director, FREDA - The Green Future Academy, Vienna

Verena Winkler was Programme Director of the Green Future Academy in Vienna from 2020 to 2022. Before she was working as Consultant on EU affairs i.a. with the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and with various NGOs on SDGs and financing for development (FFD) as well as climate (justice) policy. Previously she was Policy Adivsor with Eurostep A.I.S.B.L. in Brussels focussing on SDGs and FFD on EU and UN level. Verena Winkler is a member of the Board of the Global Policy Forum Europe since 2014. She holds a German Diploma in Political Science from the University of Hamburg.
