Anlässlich des Tages der Industrie des BDI hat die Initiative Lieferkettengesetz eine Untersuchung des Lobbyismus der Wirtschaftsverbände gegen ein wirksames Lieferkettengesetz veröffentlicht. Unternehmensverbände wie BDI, BDA und DIHK wollen das derzeit diskutierte Lieferkettengesetz lediglich auf 280 Unternehmen begrenzen, nur direkte Zulieferer einbeziehen und Geschäfte in Ländern außer Acht lassen, mit denen die EU Handelsabkommen abgeschlossen hat. Eine zivilrechtliche Haftung soll grundsätzlich ausgeschlossen werden.
